Hey all, so I have been at TCWR for almost a month now and it has been absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!  Even on the disgusting filthy "meat days" where we are digging through barrels full of raw meat, blood, and god knows what else, separating hundreds of lbs of meat, there is absolutely no place in the world I would rather be right now.  The staff and fellow interns are the greatest group of people to work and live with.  Plus it is all about the cats, you can't help but fall in love with them at first sight and considering most of their pasts it is amazing that these cats still trust people as much as they do and most are very affectionate, more or less (they are still and forever will be wild animals).  I am well on my way on my whisker collection, so far I have 4 tiger whiskers (one belongs to a tiger named Delilah) and two cougar whiskers (one is from either Little Bud or Buttons and the other is from Sasha).  soon I will be able to take pics behind the rails, in otherwords, through the cage fencing so that there aren't wires in the picture and I can't wait!  I will then have some awesome pics to show!!!

 ...because all throughout school they yelled at me to get a lj.  Well here you go guys!!!

ok, so I recently graduated from college with a BS in biology and yet for the past several months I have been working as a professional photographer for Lifetouch National School Studio...hm...bio dgree/pre-vet program and job in photography...heh, figure that one out ;p

the photography is just a temp job, but it was something different and fun...despite the fact that most days I would be ripping my hair out by the roots after "playing nice" with moronic schools/teachers and parents.  I had an amazing partner though so we could gripe together.  despite my small detour I'm still working towards vet school, in fact, I will be leaving in the end of january for a 6 month internship at a wildlife refuge for big cats!!!!   Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!!   ....sorry had to do that ;p
